The Principals of London Pacific have been involved in both debt and equity financing, production and marketing of film and TV projects for the past four decades and as such are able to draw upon a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Douglas W. Miller

After serving five years as a highly decorated Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps, including serving in-theater through the duration of Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Douglas worked for Unilever in New York and then London, where he ended up running the global Knowledge Management Group. He left Unilever in 1997 and established his own consultancy, which he sold in 2000 in order to co-found The Aquarius Film Fund in London. As Head of Films for Aquarius he sourced, evaluated and closed twelve sale and leaseback transactions for more than $200 million. In 2002 he joined Bauer Martinez Studios as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the production of six international co-productions. In 2003, he then founded The Defender Film Fund, serving as Chairman and CEO and overseeing the raising and management of over $300 million worth of investment and the production and financing of thirteen feature films, all of which fully qualified as official British films under various international co-production treaties. Two of these he wrote. With the changes to the UK tax legislation in 2005, Douglas returned to the United States and resumed a career in technology. In 2009 he joined Evryx Technologies, Inc, a distressed mobile phone technology company, as CEO.

Over the course of 18 months he restructured the company, raised additional financing and eventually orchestrated the sale of the company to a Los Angeles mobile technology conglomerate. He has produced and/or financed 25 films globally. In addition, he has now written two dozen screenplays. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard, studied for an MBA at John Moores Liverpool University and holds US/UK dual-national citizenship. He currently lives in Los Angeles and London.

Martin McCourt

Martin has been structuring and financing domestic and international films for the past twenty-two years. Following a successful career in international banking in London and Frankfurt, Martin specialised in film and TV finance in the late nineties, and headed up the media activities of DZ Bank AG and Bank of Ireland PLC, including the opening of an LA representative office in order to take advantage of the larger lending opportunities there. This remit has resulted in Martin being responsible for the bank debt structuring and financing of over 100 film and television programmes. For the past twelve years Martin has been working in the private film advisory and structuring sector. During this time Martin has also been involved with German state sector financing and mentoring both corporate entities in Europe and the Far East.
